Frequently asked
How is fish weighed — before or after cleaning?
After. You are charged for the final weight once the fish has been cleaned and cut, so you never pay for the head, scales or gut. Cleaning and cutting are free.
Can I choose how my fish is cut?
Yes. Choose curry cut, steak cut, fillet or whole when you add the item. Tell us anything else in the order notes and the counter will follow it.
When will my order arrive?
In the window you pick at checkout, on one of your area's delivery days — Edinburgh (EH) Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; Glasgow (G) Wednesday, Friday and Saturday; Aberdeen (AB1, AB2) Thursday and Saturday. The central-belt windows are 10 AM – 1 PM and 5 PM – 8 PM and close 12 hours ahead; Aberdeen is 11 AM – 3 PM and closes a full day ahead. You'll get a call when the driver is on the way.
Is the meat halal?
Yes. All chicken, lamb and goat on the counter is halal certified, and the certificates are available in store on request.
How much is delivery?
It depends on the area. Edinburgh and Glasgow are £4.95 — £6.95 on the Saturday evening run — and free over £60, with a £25 minimum order. Aberdeen is £5.95, free over £75, minimum order £30. Whichever it is, the fee for your postcode and slot is shown at checkout before you pay.
What if something arrives that isn't right?
Tell us the same day with a photo and we refund it — no argument, no return journey. See Returns & refunds for the detail.
Which areas do you deliver to?
Edinburgh and the Lothians (EH), Glasgow and the Clyde (G), and Aberdeen city (AB1 and AB2). Anywhere else is not on a round yet. Check Delivery areas for the days and windows in each, and if your postcode is not there, tell us — that list is how we decide where to go next.
